Thank you for deciding to try our email monitoring service! For security and privacy reasons, sign up is a two step process - this ensures YOU are the one signing up with your email address.

STEP ONE
The first step is to request sign-up. Just to make things complicated, you have two choices:

1) send a blank email to subscribe-emailmonitor@v2.listbox.com. You should be able to click
here, and your own email system will create a new message for you. Just SEND the message, and proceed to step two.

2) click here to go to a sign-up web page at www.listbox.com. Fill in your email address and click SUBMIT.

 STEP TWO
After completing either of the choices in step one above, wait a few minutes, and check your email. You should receive an message from "Subscription Confirmation" with a subject of "confirm subscribe to emailmonitor." Once again, you have several choices:

1) There will be a link in the email that starts with http://v2.listbox.com/subscribe/. Click on the link to confirm that you want to use this service.

2) use your email system to REPLY to this message. Just click REPLY, then SEND.

Success!!
That's all there is to it! You have subscribed to this service, and will begin receiving messages within the hour.

What will these messages look like? Here are the details:

The subject will be "[emailmonitor] Sent" followed by the date and time. It will also include a string of characters like 012345 ... More about that later.

The sender of the email will be "emailmonitor <emailmonitor@shserve.com>". If your system marks this message as spam, you may need to add it to your address book, or do something else so it does not get blocked as spam. We cannot provide information about how to do that here. If you have a problem, send a message to support@shserve.com, and we will try to help..

We do recommend that you set up a filter to move these messages to a separate folder. Again, we cannot help with this directly, but send us a message if you need help. By moving the messages to a folder, you can easily check the messages once or twice a day, and see if any are missing. You can check the timestamp on each message, or use that string of characters in the subject that we mentioned earlier. The entire string is "0123456789AB". You will see a portion of those characters that corresponds to the hour of the day. For example, at 1AM or 1PM, you will just see the "0". At 4AM and 4PM, you will see "0123". At midnite and noon, you will see the entire string of characters. This is designed as a visual clue to help you see if all the messages for a given period are there.

After you have confirmed that they are complete, we suggest that you delete all but the LATEST message. Then when you check again in, say 12 or 24 hours, you will know if everything continued from there.

What do you do if a message is missing? Well, first of all, it could be a problem with our system - the mssage may not have been sent. We will send a separate message annoucing this as soon as possible. You can look at the archive of message here. If it appears that we did send the message, then your system may have rejected it. This is the exact problem you are looking for. At the moment, there is no way for you to look at the error messages directly. Please send an email to us at support@shserve.com, and let us know the approximate time of the message you are missing. We will investigate, and report back as soon as possible.
